Your blood pressure consists of two readings - a top one and a bottom one e.g.130/80. It is the bottom one that is important - i.e. the /80 level. If this pressure level is over 95 it makes the heart work much harder and damages the small heart arteries. This damage can then cause a heart attack.
You should see your doctor and have your blood pressure checked regularly to make sure that the levels remain within normal limits. |
