Whilst new to Bowen the doctors in Occupational Health Bowen bring you almost 30 years experience in this field of medical examinations for a variety of reasons, be it pre-employment, Coal Mine medicals or any medical pertaining to the health and safety of people in a wide range of occupations. 

 
History

In 1980 Dr Fenner was appointed the medical advisor to the Mackay Electricity Board (now Ergon). Through recommended implementations of policies and procedures, the Mackay Electricity Board won the prestigious “safety of the year” award for three continuous years. Dr Fenner has continued to service the MEB since that date, and is currently the Medical Officer for Ergon Energy in Mackay and District.

Dr Fenner holds the title of Associate Professor, School of Public Health, Tropical Medicine and Rehabilitation Sciences. He has acted as the NMA for various companies and mine sites, starting with the construction of North Goonyella mine from 1991-1993 and has provided "Occupational Health" services to local industry since 1980.

Dr Fenner was the National Medical Officer for Surf Life Saving Australia for 9 years and so has extensive experience in all these factors which are very similar to all work-related matters in heavy outside work in the tropics. He is also qualified and has extensive knowledge in sports medicine and how to "prevent injuries" etc., and was the Queensland Academy of Sport medical Advisor to Central Queensland for 5 years until 2008.

Dr Fenner has a prime interest in men’s health issues starting as the MBF heart doctor for their "healthy heart" campaign starting back in the early 1990’s.

Dr Maligat, has recently joined the group and is a qualified Occupational Health Physician with his Masters in Occupational Health and his Fellowship of the Philippine College of Occupational Health.
