What is Biological Monitoring?

Measurement of exposure levels of workers to workplace hazards; involves one-time and/or regular sampling of chemical hazards (e.g. lead, pesticides, dioxins, etc) and other hazards in body tissues and fluids (e.g., mucosa, blood, urine, etc) of workers.

The goal
To provide recommendations regarding control of health and safety risks and compliance to current workplace standards.
